In our time of campus speech codes and hectoring for “misgendering” someone, it is tempting to downplay the fact that you really can do harm with your speech. It is not real, it was not created because all that God created was good and all things that are true are held together by Christ. So if evil were “real” so to speak, we would have to say Christ holds it together. This doesn’t mean however that suffering is a thing of imagination.
